A couple of notes:

  1. If you need a ride on base, meet at Newport Nautical at 0945.  Boat call at 10.
  2. Bring a lunch, your off shore PFD, AIS, safety tether, night lite, water bottle.  We will provide dinner and breakfast.
  3. Will be down to 50 degrees overnight.  Bring you off shore foul weather gear, boots, some layers and a hat.  You should always have a hat in your pocket if not on your head.  If you have an Alliance Bag, bring it with what you need in it.
  4. Plan to do dock side safety items (check AIS, put of storm sails (review video on how to fold the storm jib), Sam and Conor will go through the Bermuda Safety check lists.  Plan to go out around 1400 and practice safety evolutions (quick stops, MOB, …).  After dinner, we will set up a watch rotation, head out on rumb towards Bermuda, pass windmills up wind of them, and turn around to be back early.  Objective to get familiar with night time operations and sleeping below.
  5. Main is loaded, bringing old jib and A2 to practice with.

All for now.  Looking forward to a good Alliance shakedown underway.
